In 2013 I remarried and we took a cruise to Alaska. I have always loved photography, particularly on trips with my family. I used this occasion to buy a new DSLR camera. The photography bug had bitten me. The following year, we traveled to the Maine coast to see family. I took lots of photographs and designed a photo album for the family. When I turned 70 in 2019, I treated myself to a two-week walking sojourn across Southern England. The beauty of the landscapes inspired me to continue learning about technique. Since then, I have gotten good gear and taken lessons. Even more, I have read and practiced on my own. As I think we can learn something from each other, I have a engaged a friend me design a web site (LinnWInnPix.com). I believe studying pictures can allow us personal time to seek: RESPITE, CURIOSITY, REFLECTION and INSPIRATION. I have organized some of my favorite pictures with a bit of narrative so that I might offer something to the many who love photography and travel. I have organized the site with sections called GALLERIES : (samples from a particular year); SHOWS (themed collections); FACINATIONS (weather, seasons, macro, botanicals, animals, astrophotography, panoramas) .
